I think I have duo personalities when it comes to the weekend. On the one hand, I would be completely happy never changing out of my PJs and rolling around on the couch, ordering take out (for multiple meals) and watching full seasons of basically any show ever. On the other hand, I love weekend (boozy) brunch. This second option, though, entails looking like a real person. I often feel mentally exhausted by the weekend and the vibe – and actual lifestyle – I’m going for here is effortlessly chic. Or just effortlessly-not-looking-like-sh*t.
So here’s my easiest go-to off duty look that I pretty much implement every Saturday/Sunday. Hopefully it will come in handy at some point! Pull out your favorite pair of denim, a comfy pair of booties and match with a statement top – any statement top. The options are limitless, from ruffles to fancy print to fun fabric to big fat bell sleeves like I have here. You only need one of these to take your whole outfit up a notch. If you never shop fast fashion, this might be a tough one at first. What I’ve found to be the easiest way of incorporating a little flair into your wardrobe is picking just one of those statements you like, and finding a top that’s classic in every other respect so it doesn’t feel completely crazy in your closet.
