When my best friend and I shop together, we love to pick out the most “fashion forward” (aka ridiculous-straight-off-the-runway) options in the store for each other to try on. It always starts out with a few belly aching laughs, and yet, ironically, I almost always find myself loving the way something looks on me. I like to think of it as “experimenting” with my personal style. This flossy pink number was definitely one of those pieces.
Aside from it’s insane coziness, this coat is actually quite warm not to mention totally affordable. With the weather already gloomy half the time in London, I thought I might stray a little from my trusty black/grey/camel coats for once and live a little on the wild side 🙂 I chose to go with this sweet blush color to keep my look and spirits high and figured it would pair nicely with any neutrals.
Here, I decided to wear my favorite Lowlands (see post on OTK) and black, suede, scalloped button through skirt. I love the suede texture not to mention the way these buttons give the illusion of a slimmer figure.
Next time you’re out shopping, pick up a few things you normally wouldn’t on your way to the fitting room. I promise it will be fun! Plus, you may just find new styles & trends you love!
