With all the weekends away for wedding planning, I’ve finally fine-tuned the perfect travel set of liquids that fit perfectly inside one of those awful TSAs ziplock bags. Honestly, I don’t know how they expect ladies to manage when even a lipstick counts as liquid!
But enough ranting and onto useful tips. Here’s my current roundup, left to right.
Dermalogica total eye care is pretty much my lifesaver when it comes to dark circles and bags. I apply a generous amount under cream right before I head off to bed and basically rely on it to hide the fact that I’m almost always exhausted.
Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser is honestly my only travel sized cleanser, but it’s also one of two cleansers that can actually remove my very resistant eyeliner without any additional eye makeup remover products, and I’ve tried many, trust me. The other being Neutrogena’s foaming cleanser which doesn’t retail in London and is also the opposite of travel friendly with it’s built-in pump. When you’re limited with your liquids, it’s pretty important to find multi-use products, not to mention this cleanser is literally less than £10. Big fan.
Sisley’s Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream is my current obsession. I love the way it smells. I love the light texture for warm weather. I love the packaging. But then again, you probably saw that I’m in general obsessed with Sisley. Case in point: Sisley’s Radiant Glow Mask & Instant-Glow Primer are also in my very exclusive travel ziplock. The mask is pretty much an express facial in a bottle. Particularly if you’ve had a busy day out & about in a polluted city, douse this stuff on, leave for just 3-5 min (because who’s got time these days for real masks), and tadaaaaa! Glowy skin! Add a little glow primer and you’re all set to go!
Tom Ford’s Shade & Illuminate Glow Stick is a two-in-one contour & highlight and so great for limited space. Plus, I find rubbable sticks so much more satisfying when traveling than having to bring the full blown brush & powder get up.
NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser is my way of getting out of bringing an actual SPF, which I probably should. But this way, I have my ‘foundation’ and SPF in one glorious tube. It’s super lightweight, oil-free, blurs any imperfections, reduces wrinkles and can also be used as a concealer. EPIC. I wear shade St. Mortiz, Medium 1.
Lastly, I always pack a few little capsules of Elizabeth Arden’s Daily Youth Serum because a) how freaking cute are they? and b) they’re literally the savior for travel sized problems. Use them as filler space in your ziplock and pop one open each night to apply generously over face & neck before heading to bed.
So there you have it, the best use of your limited space! Hope that was semi-helpful!
