If you’ve been following me on Instagram you’ve definitely seen me wearing these pieces all over fashion month. I’ve spoken about this brand before but Astrid & Miyu is one of those gems that I just fell in love with at first site.
My jewelry style is all about delicate, fine, simple essential pieces with the occasional standout ring or ear cuff. My one and only disappointment about the previous Astrid collection was the fact that I couldn’t wash my hands with soap with the cute diamante stacking bands on as they’d lose color over time being gold coated and not solid. I’m generally super lazy when it comes to jewelry so I tend to pick pieces that I’ll never have to remove whether it’s in the shower or to the gym.
So naturally when Connie (founder of Astrid & Miyu and all around superstar) told me of the fine collection Back to Basics I was over the moon. I’m constantly looking for dainty pieces made of solid gold to build out my ring & necklace stacking collection and these could not be more perfect for just that.
I’ve had many gold coated variations of these pieces and none of them have lasted me longer than 3 months. I’ve always stood by the rule of investment which is to spoil yourself with jewelry, coats, bags and shoes as these things will last you decades. Skincare is another one because well, that stuff goes on your face. But that’s a story for another time.
My absolutely favorite pieces from the collection are the long chain coin necklace, stackable signet gold rings, and rose gold large hoops. If you’ve seen me lately, I was probably wearing all three of these, 100%. In fact, I’m wearing all of them as I write this post.
